The Spartans pulled a victory from three other teams on Tuesday night at Beeghly Natatorium. The Boardman girls won 5 out of the 12 events but used their depth in the relays to pull ahead of the distance swimmers from Perry.

The sole double winner for the Spartans was sophomore Alexis Mihok in the 100
Freestyle (57.44) and the 50 Free (26.82).

Single winners include junior Ella Huston in the 100 backstroke (1:08.96), and
sophomore Julia Basista in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.35).

The Spartan’s Medley Relay snagged 1st with team members Alexis Mihok, Julia Basista, Ella Huston, and junior Hayley Ho (2:01.23) while the B relay of sophomore Ireland Parker, freshman Maddie Mraz, junior Madison Kelso, and freshman Morgan Russo grabbed at 4th place (2:12.95). The Spartans also grabbed a 1st place and 3rd place in the 200 Freestyle Relay (Ho, Huston, senior Ally Schwendeman, and Mihok 1:50.16) and (Russo, freshman Morgan Auck, Mraz, and senior Casey Wert 1:56.62). The 400 Freestyle Relay took 2nd place (Russo, Wert, Schwendeman, and Basista 4:12.84), while the B relay came in 4th (freshman Cadence Vlaiku, freshman Sam Murray, freshman Morgan Auck, and freshman Maddie Mraz).

The Spartans take their 7-1-1 record to the AAC League Championships against
local teams Austintown Fitch, Howland, Warren Harding, and Canfield on Saturday
January 16th.
