On a beautiful afternoon at Mill Creek North Golf Course the Boardman Girls Golf team beat Newton Falls 137 to 190. Noelle Hammar led the way for the Spartans with a round of 44 having five pars.. Maura Murphy, who struggled on the first four holes came on strong to have 2 pars and 1 birdie to finish the round with a 48. Hannah Koch came in with a score of 45 with 2 pars. Also helping the Spartans in the match were Maddie Moran, Zoey Fick-Mills and Emily Choleva with scores of 52, 55, and 57. Only three scores were counted for Newton Falls due to the shortage of a four player. Boardman score also was only for three players, the total for four players would have been 189 which is one of the best scores for the Spartans on their home course.

Olivia Garland, Sami Breen , Gianna Pinciaro and Kate Pendleton all had great scores for the Junior Varsity team.

The Spartans are up next against Ursuline High School on September 19 at Stambaugh Golf Course and then Austintown Fitch at Mill Creek on September 26 at 4 pm to round out their season.

The Spartans are 8 – 6 on the season and 8 -4 in the conference.
