The Spartans extended their win streak to three tonight against the Howland Tigers. Resuming conference play, the Spartans were looking for revenge against a Tigers team that toppled them by 3 in the previous meeting. In a well rounded team effort, the Spartand overcame excellent outside shooting from Howland and came out on top, thanks to strong defense and a strong interior presence.

Pacing the Spartans was Prabh Singh, who continued his exceptional run of play with 12 tonight. Brady DePietro followed up with 11, including some clutch assists down the stretch. Ahmiir Colpetro diced the defense for 9. Alex “The Swan” Micco took flight for 8. John Chetsko and Carson Essad chipped in 4 a piece. Antoine White nailed one three pointer. Caleb Parker scored 2. Nate Christmas added a free throw. Austin Ward and Tequan Bailey provided strength inside, as well as a rebounding presence. AJ Nigro hustled defensively for valuable minutes. Cam Stanley forced several errors, creating easy chances on the fast break.

The Spartans continue their conference schedule Thursday January 16 against familiar foe Canfield.
