The pace of play caught the Spartans off guard early as Chaney jumped out to a 28-9 halftime lead. But, Boardman battled back despite being completely outsized and cut the deficit to 11 before going stride-for-stride the rest of the way. Pacing the Spartans was Terrell McDowell with 8 points. Anthony Price knocked down an early 3-pointer and finished with 7 points. Grayson Eicher added 6 hard-fought points in the paint.
