In a tight game throughout Boardman tops Columbiana 4-3. The Spartans were lead offensively by Anthony Butto with 2 RBI while Griffin Widrig added two hits. The Spartans scored the go ahead run on a CJ Cordon ground ball that scored Marco Stilliana in the bottom of the 4th. It was a well pitched game by both teams with Jimmy Whippo earning the win for the Spartans and Riley Mcelwain took a tough loss. Mcelwain had 10K’s in 5 inning of work. The Clippers were lead offensively by Mcelwain as well, along with two hits by Spooner.
