–Monday night the BGJHS girls eighth grade basketball team fell to 5-3 on the season with a tough 20-17 loss to Canfield Middle School. Ava Freeborough and Alex Ward led the way with six points each and Tori Strines rounded out the scoring with five points. The Lady Spartans will be in action again on Thursday night when they host Holy Family at Center Intermediate at 6:45.
