Fryda Continues his Kicking Career

Boardman Senior, Tommy Fryda, signs with California University of Pennsylvania to continue his Football kicking career.  The Spartan kicker set a school record for extra points and total points a season ago.  Besides California, Fryda had offers from Glenville State in West Virginia and Seton Hill in Greensburg, PA. WKBN Starting 5 Award

Sports Team 27 has honored some of the Valley’s best high school basketball players with their “Starting 5 Award”.  These players have broken school records, cut down nets and dominated Channel 27 coverage.  After months of basketball and despited the shortened season-the winners were revealed: Derrick Anderson Derrick averaged 22 points per game, won 22

Spartans’ Anderson Honored

Boardman 6 foot 1 senior guard Derrick Anderson led the Spartans on a historic run this season with a 22-2 record. On Tuesday, Anderson was named to the Division 1 All-Ohio boys basketball second team.  He led Boardman with an average of 22.2 points per game.

Girls Bowling Team heads to State

The girls bowling team has had one of the most successful seasons in recent years, going 18-0, winning both the conference title and the conference tournament.  The Spartans were crowned Sectional Champions, and at Districts the Spartans placed 4th overall, earning them a trip to the State Championship.  These ladies will be competing at Wayne

Boys Indoor Track to compete at State

10 members of the Boys Indoor Track Team will be competing Saturday at the OATCC State Indoor Track and Field Championship at Spire Institute in Geneva.  Spartans going include: Dave Meredith, Mitchel Dunham, Isaiah Suarez, Jonah Bacho, Cristian Ortiz, Dawaylon Pritchard, Brennan Stratton, Justin Maloney, Anthony Marshall and Beau Gorby.
