JV Boys Basketball Team Has 6-3 Record

Bowling Teams Win Holiday Tournament

On December 26th, the boys and girls bowling teams both won the Holiday Tournament at Stonehedge Lanes.  The boys team led the tournament from wire to wire.  In game one of their first match, the Spartan’s rolled the tournament’s high game of 1103 led by NickChristmas with a high game of 245 and Jason Babnic

Nick Tancabel Bowls a Perfect 300

Nick Tancabel bowled a perfect game of 300 at the Holiday Tournament at Stonehedge Lanes on December 26th.  This was his first perfect game and it highlighted Boardman’s team victory for both the girls and boys teams in the entire tournament.

Girls Basketball Team Wins Two in a Row

The girls varsity basketball team defeated Niles McKinley on Saturday, Dec. 27 at home by a score of 52-40.  Junior Krista Johnson led the way with 14 points and her junior teammate Amber McMillan scored 10 points.  The varsity team is now 3-5 overall and stands 2-4 in the league.  The junior varsity team advanced

Wrestlers place 5th at Kenston Tournament

The Boardman wrestling team had a fine showing at the Kenston Invitational placing 5th out of 29 teams.  Mario Graziani was a double winner in the 152 pound weight class.  Vince Mancini took 3rd in the 106 pound division and Anthony Mancini placed third in the 170 pound division.  Taking 4th in the 160 weight

Freshmen Boys Basketball Team 5-1 on the Season

The Boardman boys freshmen basketball team is now 5-1 overall on the season and 3-1 in the AAC.  In their season opener against Akron Firestone, the Spartans won 57-39 led by Mark Melewski with 13 points.  Melewski and Noah Falleti led the team in their first AAC contest over Canfield by a score of 63-56

On December 6th, the Boardman wrestling team opened up their 2014-15 season by defeating four out of the five teams they faced at the Poland Duals.  They defeated Orville 65-12, University School 59-16, Hubbard 57-21 and Poland 40-34.  They lost to Alliance by a close score of 39-33.  On December 13, the team traveled to

Boys Swim Team 2nd at NEAC Relays

The Spartan boys swim team finished in the runner-up spot at the NEAC Relays winning two events and placing second in two relays.  Freshmen Kyle Kimerer was on two winning boy’s relays.  In the first place 200 butterfly relay, Kimerer was joined by seniors David Zaitzew, Tyler Calpin and junior Aaron DunLany.  Juniors Michael Vidman
