Junior Spartan swimmer Noah Basista and Boardman Swim Team Head Coach Carlo Cordon both received high honors at the Northeast Aquatic Conference Championship Meet held this past weekend. Noah was selected as the “NEAC Male Swimmer of the Meet.” He won the individual 50 freestyle and 100 yard breastroke events, and was a part of two winning relays, the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays.
Coach Cordon was selected as the “NEAC Coach of the Year” for both boys and girls. This is Coach Cordon’s first year as the head coach of the Spartans after many years as an assistant coach on the highly successful girls and boys swim and dive teams. “I work with two great coaches, Chad DeAngelo and Ryan Ebie, that share in this recognition. We have learned from the best when we worked with now retired coach Terry O’Halloran. Our goal is to keep moving this program forward!” stated Coach Cordon after the meet.
Spartan Nation is proud of these tremendous accomplishments by our boys and girls team members and the coaching staff.
