At the OHSAA Regional Track and Field Meet, senior Jessica Knickerbocker and junior Casey Zaitzew made the podium recognizing the top eight in the region with medals. Jessica made it to the finals after running another school record time of 15.38 in the 100 high hurdles. She came back in the finals and placed 8th running 15.39 and ending her career with a highly successful senior year. Casey finished 8th running 11:37.54 in a strong field of 16 runners in the 3200 meter run. She qualified to the Regionals as the District Champion a week earlier in the 3200, also capping a very strong season this year.
In the picture above, Jessica and Casey are with some of their friends and teammates who came out to support them on this special day. Congratulations also to Head Coach Rick Sypert, Hurdle Coach John DePietro, and Distance Coach Jason Armburger on leading these girls to the Regionals.
