Varsity Boys Golf Team Crowned AAC Champions In The Red Tier For The Fourth Year In A Row

FullSizeRender-7Congratulations to the the Boardman boys varsity golf team for winning the AAC League Championship in the Red Tier for the 4th year in a row. They also won the AAC League Tournament that is held with all AAC teams for the 4th consecutive year. Leading the scoring for the Spartans at the AAC League Tournament was junior Cole Christman shooting a 74. Seniors Cade Kreps and Brian Terlesky both shot 75, senior Bobby Jonda carded a 79, and senior Bryan Kordupel shot 82.

The boys team ended the season undefeated with an overall season record of 15-0 and 10-0 in AAC league play. They also won the Ursuline, Cardinal Mooney, and the Canfield Invitational, the AAC Tournament and placed 4th at the prestigious Kiely Cup Tournament. The Spartans are coached by Brian Terlesky.

Tomorrow, the Spartans will head to Pine Hills Golf Club for the OHSAA District Tournament as they pursue qualifying to the State Tournament for the third year in a row.  Best of luck to our Spartan golf team.
